What Are Curtain Bangs and Why Is Everyone Getting Them?
When we say bangs, you immediately think, "Been there, done that," right? In 1995 you had Janeane Garofalo baby bangs. In 2010 you had Zooey Deschanel blunt bangs. And now, in 2017, there's nowhere else to go. Not so fast, lady. According to Pinterest, there's a new trend in town, and it's called "curtain bangs." (Searches are up 100 percent, FYI.) Think of these guys as long, middle-parted fringe that looks as cool-girl chic as it does '60s mod. Here, seven celebs rocking the fresh new 'do.
First things first: What are curtain bangs? Basically, they’re a softer take on traditional bangs that part (like a curtain) to frame your face.
But they’re also tousled and wispy, à la Halle’s bun-and-bangs combo.
Ooh, or they can look super polished when paired with a sleek bouffant.
This style works particularly well if you’re trying to grow out your fringe, too.
